About This Spot

Stepping into Elois Cafe, nestled quietly on Queen Margaret Drive, you immediately sense the gentle hum of a place that welcomes both the familiar and the curious. It’s the kind of café where time feels just a little softer—neither rushed nor languid—with a warm, unpretentious rhythm that invites you to slow down and savor the moment.

The interior speaks of simple comforts: modest tables, soft natural light filtering through the windows, and the understated smiles of staff who make you feel seen without fuss. Outside, a few scattered seats offer the chance to watch the day unfold at a leisurely pace, whether you’re here to gather your thoughts over a carefully poured coffee or to share a quiet conversation with friends.

What defines Elois Cafe is less about what’s on the menu and more about how each dish feels like a small, thoughtful gesture. Breakfast and brunch here are crafted with care, combining fresh, locally inspired ingredients with a touch of familiar indulgence—think the kind of plates that make mornings feel like a celebration without any pretense. The coffee, rich and smooth, is a steady companion to both hearty meals and lighter bites, grounding the experience in quiet satisfaction.

Visitors often find themselves wrapped in a quietly fulfilling balance—between friendly service that feels personal rather than performative, and a setting that’s intimate without being intrusive. It’s a place that rewards discovery, where the joy comes as much from the atmosphere and the human moments shared, as from the food and drink themselves.

In a neighborhood that hums with change, Elois Cafe remains a steady presence: a small refuge that invites you to linger, reflect, and enjoy the simple pleasures of good company and thoughtfully made fare.

Our daughter took us here for brunch 23/5/25 what an amazing place . I have never had an omelette taste so delicious. My husband had a spicy chicken crepe and our daughter had the Eloise special breakfast they both said the same. As for the coffee it was also delicious xx thank you Eloise cafe for a great start to a long day ahead .

To sum up this wonderful cafe, I would use the phrase "Perfectly balanced". Let me paint you a picture... you're hungry, and in a new part of town, you have no idea where you want to eat, but you park up next to this small, and humble looking place called "Lois Cafe", you decide to take a chance. Upon entering, you give a subtle smile for their simple yet welcoming interior, the staff are nice, but not overbearing, you take a seat. You are given a menu, you notice the usual full breakfasts with your typical egg and bacon, you're debating the choice but then your eyes are captured by word "crepes". In particular you notice the words "Spicy Chicken". Now this small, seemingly typical cafe, has your absolute full attention! You order a Coffee to get wet your appetite, and once it promptly arrives the air is filled with the beautiful smell of freshly roasted coffee beans. You take a sip and are immediately entranced by the rich flavour, not too strong, not too sweet, just smooth and perfectly balanced, you now have a new favourite coffee in town. Once your crepes arrive, you notice they are perfectly pale gold, even your French girlfriend is impressed. They are evenly cooked and there is a great ratio between crepe, filling, and side salad. You catch a slight aroma from your meal, your mouth waters and you simply must try it immediately. You pick up your knife and fork, you cut your first mouthful, the knife glides across the crepes surface with ease, and you smile from disbelief, this seems too good to be true. You take your first bite, your mouth filled with flavour, the chicken is succulent, the red peppers are melt in the mouth, the spice is subtle, another perfect balance, you're in heaven. I could take more of your time explaining how wonderful the dessert was, the reasonably cheap price, or the fact we just had to take another coffee to go, but I'll leave that up to you to discover, and by my word it is worth discovering. The perfect little accident, started by giving a small cafe a chance. Rest assured I'll be back, very soon.

Stumbled upon this cafe on a sunny day.. ordered something simple like egg and square sausage roll and a flat white coffee.. out of my expectation, they were all so tasty and fresh. The restaurant is clean and the lady chef very nice. A great place for a quick bite!

I have been coming here for years and could not recommend enough! The coffee is the best coffee I have had outside of Italy, absolutely delicious and super creamy. Food is made from super high quality ingredients and cooked perfectly, I particularly love their breakfasts and their Italian sausages! The cakes are phenomenal, homemade cakes include Albanian and Greek cakes I have never had anywhere else. Cherry on top of the cake is the friendly and attentive service from the married couple who own and run this lovely cafe, it feels like popping round to a family member's home for breakfast from their friendly service. Thanks
